Jubilee coalition was formed by President Kenyatta and his Deputy President Ruto. It existed since 2013 and served for two terms 2013 and 2017. It was the strong and united coalition of the time.
The coalition is no longer in existence after Deputy President Ruto exited the Jubilee to form United Democratic Party (UDA).
The Jubilee members who are still in the coalition have now decided that the Deputy President must be expelled from Jubilee.
Deputy President Ruto have occasionally said that UDA is the top party in Kenya followed by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
This is because UDA have 155 MPs, ODM 70 MPs while the umbrella one has 20MPs.
The reason as to why Dr. Ruto left Jubilee was that he was not part and parcel of the handshake which was between President Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Raila.
President Kenyatta also decided to expel all the politicians who had titles in the Parliament and seemed to be Dr. Rutos followers.
Do you think that the deal of removing Dr. Ruto from Jubilee is well planned?
