The people were dislocated to their areas and came to live on the land with hope of seeing a good future in 1992.
This is by Radio Maisha Presenter Nyagwoka who aired out this news;
Rose Nasimiyu with her children stays on a plot of the land facing the harsh times after burying some of the close members on the land. Some of her children went to the streets with the aim of getting food. She says that the tradition of Bukusu clan is lost because they are all together in the same place with her in laws doing all the activities together.
An elderly man George Khaemba cried a lot saying he lives on the land for 30 years now using one toilet which is also a threat to getting diseases. He also have hard times in giving his children food, clothing and education. He therefore plead with the fourth Government to help them in getting their shares with title deeds.
This is not different from the 2007 IDP’s who also plead for the Government to help them in getting good future.
