Razer is a company whose fame came about as they produce quality but lightweight gaming laptops. This year they released the Razer Blade Pro 17 2020 version, predecessor to the 2019 model. Let’s dive in and check what comes under the hood.
The Razer’s body
This year’s razer pro 17 comes in a 17 inches screen in a frame with dimensions 0.78*10.24*15.5 inches. The laptop ships in anodized matte black color which gives it a beautiful look. The laptop has a glass touchpad and a lighting keyboard with the RGB per key lighting technology. The keyboard brought some chages from the previous models as it has a longer right shift key and shorter directional keys.The machine weighs around 2.75 Kg.
The 2020 Razer blade pro 17 is available in 3 variants. 2 of the variants have 17m3 inch screen with 1080p and NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 max Q and 2080 max Q GPU respectively. These screens boast 300 nits for screen brightness. The screens have 300Hz refresh rate.
The higher end version has a 4k screen with 400 nits hence it is brighter than the former models. This model has the Adobe RGB color space to reduce motion blur while gaming. It boasts a NVIDIA Geforce 2080 supermax Q GPU with 120Hz refresh rate.
Both versions are loaded with 8GB of VRAM.
Memory and storage
Both options ship with 16GB 2933 MHz DDR4 RAM that is upgradable to 64 GB if you wish to.
The 1080p models have 512GB PCle NVMe SSD drives while the 4k version has 1TB SSD drive both upgradable to 2TB if you wish. There is also an open m.2 slot for additional 2TB os SSD storage.
The laptop has Bluetooth v 5 and WiFi v 6 for your connectivity. In addition to that, the Razer Pro 2020 has the following ports
