Amazfit is a Chinese company famous for producing apple watch alternatives. Recently, they unveiled a new watch, the Amazfit Ares which is claimed to be one with big specs and low price.

The Amazfit Ares ships in two colors, Black and Khaki Green. The body is made from PC sporty silicon and has irreplaceable sweat permeable straps and a steel buckle.
The face of the watch is octagonal but the display is rectangular. This gives it the old school Casio feel. The watch has 3 physical buttons at the sides. The watch has a 1.28 inch AMOLED display panel made of corning gorilla glass. Having the resolution of the screen is 206*640 pixels, the screen also boasts of having a single point touchscreen capabilities.
The watch has IP68 water resistance rating. This means that it can sustain depths up to 50 metres for a period of 10 minutes while under water.
What it packs
The Ares packs a 200mAh battery with 14 days battery life while in use. The company claims it could sustain 90 days of standby time. The watch is built mostly for outdoor activities so it has technology embedded into it to perform just that.
It has 70 sports tracking modes and advanced biometrics technology to help athletes in their normal activities. Among other sensors, the watch has a heart rate sensor, 3 axis acceleration sensor, BiotrackerTM PPG optical sensor and GPS + GLONASS outdoor activity map tracking.
For connectivity, the Ares features Bluetooth 4.2 BLE to connect to your android or iOS smartphone. In addition to that, the basic call and message notification, weather updates, automatic step counter, calorie and distance counter are also made possible by the watch.
